Happiness

Sometimes, when I ride the LRT and then there's an empty seat, I would let someone take the seat (example: pregnant lady or lola). Then I would say that would be my good deed for the day.

I'm planning of skipping my two classes tomorrow. I really need to sleep. i even skipped my major class today because a.) I wasn't prepared b.) I won't be able to pay attention in class. That would be my last absent for that class. I promise with Multiply as my witness.

I admit I am a dreamer. I also don't know what path my life is going to take. It scares me sometimes... awooo....

You are The Star

Hope, expectation, Bright promises.

The Star is one of the great cards of faith, dreams realised

The Star is a card that looks to the future. It does not predict any immediate or powerful change, but it does predict hope and healing. This card suggests clarity of vision, spiritual insight. And, most importantly, that unexpected help will be coming, with water to quench your thirst, with a guiding light to the future. They might say you're a dreamer, but you're not the only one.

Good Morning!

It is 7 in the morning. I should be taking a bath then head to Greenbelt. But here I am multiplying.

I had a very weird dream. It involves Bulacan, relatives of high school classmates, fish and pancit.

childhood pictures. nge!!!

Instead of doing my homework or something more productive, I suddenly became OC about my yahoo inbox. I decided to open all 400+ messages and delete/sort to an appropriate folder.

While going through the mail, I saw some old multiply alerts. One of which contains an album of our childhood made by my little sister.

There are two pictures of me wearing my dad's clothes (fresh from the office), another pic with the brother and sister long ago in Ayala Park and me biking wearing a terno-pambahay with head band. I think it runs in our family. Wait, let me correct that. Camwhoring runs in our family.

Pictures of us, young, innocent and chubby.

The Name Game

I have always been proud of my name. I would even correct people who would mispronounce Antoinette (it should be an-twa-net, not an-toy-net). I also enjoy sharing the story of how I was named (Antoinette -derived from my father's Antonio that why Carl got Anthony, Isabelle -from the actress Isabelle Adjani whom my father read about her accident on the day my birth).

Out of boredom and curiosity, I googled the meaning of my two names. Here are results:
  • Isabelle
    • Origin: French
    • Meaning: Consecrated to God
  • Antoinette
    • Origin: French
    • Meaning: praiseworthy, flourishing, beyond praise (usually associated with French queen Marie Antoinette)
Then I found out that Isabelle "is also a is a popular generic theorem proving environment developed at Cambridge University and TU Munich". Click here to know more about it.

It turns out I share the same names with a Brazilian princess of the Bragança Dynasty and  a  member of  the Netherlands  nobility.

Talaga nga naman! Praiseworthy daw at consecrated to God. Of royalty and nobility pa.Ang galing talaga ni Papa gumawa ng pangalan.

Lychee!

death and the deatheater

thanks ruth for the picture.
I used black eyeshadow and petroleum jelly for my lipstick. I needed to be resourceful. Hehehe. By the next morning, my lips were still black. Ang galing! tumatagal!

The NWA Halloween party/birthday celebration of Manong (a.k.a. Carl) at Hardrock Cafe last October 31.
I came as Neil Gaiman's Death wearing the black corset from ukay(whee). Carl came as the generic deatheater from HP movie #4. But I prefer to call him Deatheater #22.

sa gabi siya'y bonggang-bongga

For the past two years as a college student in Lyceum, I haven't had a "normal" sembreak. Normal in a sense that I haven't traveled out of town just to enjoy three weeks of being batugan. Where did the sembreak go?

For the past two weeks, I have been taking dance classes and rehearsing with Neonescas for a dance showcase at Baguio at the end of the month. That is why I avoid to go up and down here in our house (tulad na lang na hindi ko pagkain ng cake dahil ang sarap na ng upo ko). And this extra activity of mine worries my mother dearest because she thinks that my immune system will give up on me anytime. She thinks I'm doing too many things (Aladdin, school, org and now, dance).

I don't want to stop this. I love the feeling of my body aching because of dancing (and the only way to get rid of the pain is by dancing more), and the fact of going to Baguio because of doing something I love.

Dancing has been a frustration. As kid, my mom made me take ballet classes because she dreamed of having a ballerina in the family. But I would stop and change ballet schools every now and then. I will never declare that I am a great dancer. Eng?

---------------------------------------------

The plan of me being kidnapped to be drowned with ukay-ukay stores in Baguio was canceled. First, there was the great cough episode of mine. Then Paeng came who decided to target the northern Luzon. Siyempre, ang mga magulang di na pumayag. I wanted to cry when I had to face the reality that Baguio moment will not happen. This would have been a Jod-Isab moment. The one we would savor before we face a great change.

Sayang talaga.

---------------------------------------------

I am greatful for having Kuya Santi in my life. I love him for a lot of things. For being there during the break-up episode#1 of my life and for moving on after. I was hurt seeing him hurt because of what-ifs, I-should-haves and the fact that he is friends with the two people involved.
But we both agreed (and somewhat promised) that we don't want something like that to happen again ever. Hee!

Kuya Santi, my fellow aquarian. I love you so much.

Tayo na at mag pok pok.... pok.
