rain, classes, exams, rehearsals.

rain was pouring hard for the past five days. a good reason to wear trench coats and sweaters that were never suitable with manila's climate.

i missed wearing my trench coat. i rarely find an occassion to wear it. since batute is really cold and its been raining cats and dogs, i get to wear it without looking overdressed of some sort.

thanks to the rain, classes were cancelled last monday and tuesday. buti na lang talaga.

monday: we had a pictorial for rep. i was suppose to have a sapnish and bio exam. due to the cancellation of classes, i get to save my absences for other occassions. plus i wasn't prepared for bio.

tuesday: suppose to have an exam in statistics. the problem: i left my book in the locker, meaning i can't do any form of review. crapness! i'd like to thank once again the typhoon for being the cause of the suspension of classes.

august is fast approaching. aladdin rehearsals are now moved to greenbelt1. ergo, my commuting route is much easier! yehey!
our humor has gotten shallow. from "stopstiefs" to choreographies for the curtain call, pagtatawanan namin. ahahahaha.

by the way, last weekend of Ars Poetica and Rite of Passage at Tanghalang Huseng Batute, CCP!
july 29 & 30 @3pm
july 28 & 29 @8pm.
don't miss it. sayang naman!

p.s. grabbed some pics from fj during the rep photo shoot. hehehe.

binyag

wala lang, nasa mood lang akong magbinyag ng blog. hehe.

today's planned schedule:
  • pay tuition at 1:30 then chat with jod til 2:30
  • go to maan's house at 3:00 tambay til 4:30
  • attend TP rehearsal at 5:00
today's actual happenings:
I arrived at school around 1:45. i lined up to pay my tuition and then, i received a message about conflicts in my RP schedule. naloka ako. ang masaklap pa, naubos ang load ko. at sinundan pa ng battery. talaga nga naman.

After paying, i decided to go home. At least sa bahay, libre ang tawag. I called  people concerned  about the schedule conflict, then texted jod  for my no-show. I recived a message from maan that she's not home. buti na lang at hindi ako natuloy.

i decided to try to curl my hair on my own. nope, i can't do it alone. i really need to ask help. then, in a hurried manner, i applied red nail polish to see if it will work for the play. Ang pangit talaga ng pagkalagay ko.

i left for rehearsals at 4:30. I arrived at my destination exactly 5:00. yehey!!!

we had a run-through. we were all freezing. then i realized, i had the most costume change. tindi!

I have an exam tomorrow. goodluck to me. i haven't even finished writing my reviewer.

THE BEST OF VIRGIN LABFEST 1: ARS POETICA AND RITE OF PASSAGE

Start:     Jul 21, '06 2:00p
End:     Jul 30, '06
Location:     Tanghalang Huseng Batute, CCP
July 21, 22, 28, 29 8:00PM
July 22, 23, 29, 30 3:00PM

Eugene Evasco and Chris Martinez’
ARS POETICA

Direction: Arlo de Guzman
Featuring: Soliman Cruz
Ony de Leon
Cris Pasturan

Two poets: One is the teacher, consummate and
antiquated. The other is the student, bold and
brilliant. One night, they search for the muses. As
the master and protégé try to capture the elusive
words, their rivalry threatens to drown them in a
torrent of suppressed envy. Who will emerge the
victor? Or will their hunger for the ultimate honor of
literary nobility drive them to madness?

Glenn Mas’
RITE OF PASSAGE

Direction: J. William Herbert Sigmund Go
Featuring: Acey Bryle Aguilar, Bryan Correa,
Nazer Salcedo, Sheenly Gener,
Rosswil Hilario, Isabelle Martinez,
Noel Taylo, Dianne Torres

Set in a quiet barrio in Antique, the play opens
with a painful ritual that propels its reluctant
protagonist into manhood. As he is seduced by
the promised pleasures of sex, he bravely
confronts his past in a bid to take control of his
future, and the truth can be as overwhelming as
the lurid images of scantily-clothed women in
magazines.
