  1. I posted this same response on Miao's site.

I've actually seen this thing with a lot of old women, not just for weddings. I always thought it was a doily myself. Makes you think of Dobby and his penchant for wearing the wrong stuff.

Actually, there is nothing wrong with her veil.  It is the angle and location the photographer chose for the shot that made her look like she is wrapped in Glad-wrap.

For this gown I think they designer was going for the swan look.  It was just too much!  Where's the bride?  Is she in the gown? hehehe.  Same could be said for the Vegas gown.  It was actually a Renaissance inspired number ... but the designer went a little overboard with the ruffled sleeves.  I can't help but think they must be blind or something.  Poor brides.

This one is not so bad. I've seen Joan Collins wear something similar.  There's another actress this dress reminds me of, but her name is at the tip of my tongue.  Hmmm ... it will hit me later when I don't need it.

This actually looks like something a high powered exec (or lawyer) would wear if she were getting married at the courthouse.  After which she could go back to the office, no one the wiser that she is no longer a MISS.  I've seen some films where they would show mature women wearing something similar to a wedding.  And, yes, it is a dual-purpose thing, 'cause you can wear it at several other business occasions.  Just be careful not to spill anything on all that white.

Such a pity.  Such a beautiful bride, beautiful photography, beautiful make up ... lovely gown ... except for the sleeves.  I would cut those out and go with cupped sleeves instead.

I'm sorry. I don't agree that this is awful.  A loooong train is just magnificent!  She is sitting down in the pic so it doesn't show the train off very well.  Lovely color, too, even if it isn't white.

Come to think of it, my sister didn't wear white to her wedding, either.  It was more like ivory and mocha, if I recall.

Awww! This pic does not belong in this set!  Anyone with a discerning eye will see that his pants are rolled up.  And when you consider his background it actually makes sense.  I have a feeling that they must've had the wedding by the beach so when he stepped out on the sand he took of his shoes and socks and hitched up and rolled up his pants.  Is it so bad that he was careful with his clothes? Sheesh!

Hey, this isn't fair. For all we know she IS a gypsy.
She certainly has the look of one, and it isn't just the dress.  I'd put her at Turkish or Hungarian or some such.  I can be wrong, of course, hehehe.
