When I was a Junior in High School, we staged a play by Jean Giraudoux entitled "Ondine". The play is about a water nymph who fell in love with a knight and still pursued him even if she was warned that he will betray him the future. She even made a deal with the sea-king that if he will betray her, a spell would be cast upon her to forget him and he shall die. Of course, the prediction was right. He died of forgetting to breathe.
The songs we sang would pop in my head almost everyday.
